eYen Zak
eYen is endlessly delighted and fascinated by the marvel of the human being. How life organizes, its movement, its unity and diversity elicit questions of cells and selves, structure and function, and inner and outer worlds. eYen’z inquiry has led him to studying the body and exploring many avenues into how to harness and cultivate the resources and capacity we are gifted with. Beginning formal training in Henan Shaolin Wushu at age 6 set the trajectory for lifelong studies of the body-mind. An academic focus on biomechanics and exercise physiology, martial arts, contact improvisation, bodywork, and diverse modalities of somatic education and therapy inform his approach to health, learning, and play. Moving in wholeness as an integration of differentiated parts.
eYen is a Dynamic Embodiment Somatic Movement Therapist (DE-SMT), Exercise Physiologist, and student of Shaolin Luohan Qi Gong 少林羅漢氣功.
