Kanji refers to a Japanese writing or ideogram. Similar to a mudra in Sanskrit, it is a mantra expressed by a hand position. The Kanjis help to focus one’s attention as it centers and grounds the practitioner and provides the necessary power, guidance, and answers for healing.
Kanji 1 – to connect to the Reiki energy and draw more Reiki energy or power into the healing. (Reiki on). Interlace the fingers, release the index finger and cross the thumbs, usually right over left. (This is also used as a healing mudra in Qigong and Yoga.)
Kanji 2 – to request assistance of higher spiritual beings, angels, guides, ascended masters etc. as they can help with healing, it brings the spirit in closer and tighter. It is the same shape as the first kanji with the addition of releasing the middle finger as well so the tips of the middle fingers meet.
Kanji 3 – to help one obtain guidance required and to answer any questions one may have which cannot be asked directly. Perform the kanji and wait for the answer to manifest. All fingers are interlaced. (This also serves to connect the left and right brain and balances these energies.)
